Still wines of the Côte des Bar

Rosé des Riceys

A rare wine which had the honour of being named the best Rosé in the world by the great 18th century critic La Reynière.

Genuine pink gold for the aficionados, the Rosé des Riceys is a unique treasure.

2012 harvest
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir

With a deep pink, ruby and Morello cherry colour, the Rosé des Riceys is a good balance of complexity. It reveals forest floor and spicy notes on the nose.
The palate is crisp with small red berries moving to a liquorice finish.

Key aromas

liquorice, Morello cherry, blackcurrant.

The Rosé des Riceys is a still wine, the wine from the Champagne region before Champagne…Before the 17th century, wines from the Champagne region were highly renowned and loved across all Royal courts. Connoisseurs love these «still» wines, which differ to the «sparkling» Champagne. Their lightness and suppleness are much appreciated.
